Tips for Getting Out of the Friend Zone

ByBrook Green
Many guys ask every day, "How do I get of the friend zone?" Okay, if you are in the friend zone, then the girl is feeling exactly the same way, or she is not romantically interested in you at all. If you want out of the friend zone, you will have change the way she sees you. The most important thing is to never tell her how you feel, at least not until she feels the same way about you. In order for her to see you as more than a friend, if she does not already, you must show her that you are confident, self-assured, and sexual. Confidence, mystery, and playing hard to get are the key to most any woman's heart. Following these tips will get you out of the friend zone.
Mystery
Women love men who have some mystery about themselves. Do not tell her everything. She does not need to hear about your childhood, or painful memories of your parent's divorce. Be a little more closed off and do not give a lot of detailed information. Do not walk too close to her when somewhere together. Walking too close will give her the impression that you want other people to believe she is with you. Backing off sometimes will have her wondering why and thinking about you in the process.
Disappear sometimes for a few days, spend time with your family and/or friends, and do not call her or see her anywhere. When you do see her next, do not tell her where you have been. Of course, if she keeps asking you about it and seems upset, then tell her you were just hanging out with friends or family.
Confidence
Building self-confidence can be a lot of work, but it is well worth the effort. Confidence is the number one thing that attracts women, not to mention the advantages self-confidence has in the rest of your life. To begin working on your confidence, write down everything wonderful about you. Things such as hard-working, loyal, funny, physically fit, rich, etc., should all be included in your list. Read and re-read this list every morning.
Practice makes perfect. Practice talking to women often. Practicing your communication skills with women will help immensely. You will gain confidence and skills that your friend, and other women, will notice. Once other women start looking at you and becoming interested, this will help your friend to see you as a man and not just a friend.
Playing Hard to Get
Do not cancel plans to run to her side for any reason. Distance yourself. Make yourself a little less available. That is not to say to quit hanging out with her altogether, or to treat her differently.
Make her jealous. Go ahead and look at other girls when the two of you are together. Flirt with other women, buy a woman a drink, comment on a woman's nice butt, but do not be too rude or conspicuous. You do not want her to think that you are a pig, just a man interested in beautiful women.
Here is the most important part of making a woman jealous; make sure that you always say a little something nice to your friend as well. For instance, if you have made a comment about another woman's looks, throw in something like, "You look pretty good yourself today." Do not make saying something like this the center of attention though. After you have said it, be cool and move on as if you did not say anything.

Be the Best Friend, Girlfriend

ByDanae Matthews

Don't try too hard to be one of the guys

If you and your boyfriend's friends enjoy the same activities like sports and a good microbrew then good for you! But if you've missed a couple world championships and are trying to talk about the odds of your "favorite team" getting to the playoffs I would stop while you're ahead. Find common interests that you really do share, like a particular book or television show. Inquire about a hobby that they take part in and you find genuinely interesting. Guys aren't so different from us; your man's friends will love to talk about their latest venture or purchase!

Offer to broaden the social circle

If your boyfriend's friends are single offer to bring around a group of your single girlfriends to the next BBQ or party. Don't worry, this doesn't mean you have to play matchmaker; it just shows that you are willing to mesh your world with that of your bf's. Plus it shows that you like your guy's friends enough to trust them with them your friends.

Tread softly

Your boyfriend's friends were there before you and if you leave they'll be around after. Until you prove yourself to be a permanent fixture in your man's life his friends might not treat you with the respect that you think that you deserve. This is where you have to show some major maturity and patience. You also have to realize that this behavior might not be so much their fault as it might be your boyfriend's. Who knows how many "girlfriend introductions" they've been through? So before you start in on how your boyfriend needs to get all new friends, give your relationship a little time to grow.

Note: I'm not condoning bad friend behavior I'm just saying that it happens. It's existence doesn't warrant it. Your boyfriend should always stand-up for your when these situations occur no matter how long you have or haven't been dating. If this doesn't happen it is time to cut your losses.

Watch your flirtation

Keep this in mind when you are hanging out and there is alcohol involved. What might be innocent conversation to you might come off to your dude's friends as excessive flirting. The last thing that you want is the homies thinking something about you that just isn't true. This is a good rule of thumb whenever you are in a group with mostly guys: watch what you drink and what you wear. No one wants a "whoo-whoo" girl.

Show interest

Invite your guy and his friends to something that your friends are planning or that you have planned personally. Better yet, plan something around an idea that you know your man and his pack enjoy doing. This shows that you are in tune to their personalities and interests.

Don't be a push-over

If there is ever a situation where you find yourself uncomfortable and your boyfriend can't immediately come to your rescue, i.e. a joke has gone too far, someone has hurt your feelings etc...make sure that you stand up for yourself. You don't need to be bitchy or cry you just need to be assertive and let them know that although you all are now friends there are certain lines that should never be crossed. Guys respect powerful woman and walk over weak ones. You never want to be the latter.
