Who Is Your Favorite Band Or Music Group?
You can learn a lot about someone based on their musical tastes. So no matter if you are music buff or not music is a great way to find some common ground more often than not.
What Is Your Favorite Dessert?
Everyone loves dessert and most of us have had a favorite since the time we were kids. So find out what your date's favorite dessert is and then see if you can guess what they would order at the restaurant based on what they have to say.
Do You Like To Travel?
Seeing if someone likes to travel and where they like to travel to is a great way to know some of their passions in life. If you can get someone talking about their adventures traveling you can really get to see their true colors.
If You Had One Wish What Would It Be?
This is always a fun question to see if they would solve world hunger or if they would buy that new watch they were looking at. It is a great way to have fun and see what type of person they truly are.
What Do You Like To Do In Your Spare Time?
Finding out your date's hobbies can be fun and you might find out that you both share the unique interest of juggling flaming swords. (Hey it may be a long shot but stranger things have happened)

When it comes to talking to women, very few guys understand how to "connect" with girls through the use of effective conversation. Regardless of what you might have been heard or read, no one has ever actually figured out the exact words that will make a girl feel instant attraction. There are, however, some guidelines you can follow to make your conversations with women flow more naturally, and make them feel comfortable in your presence.
My first piece of advice is to be more original with the questions you ask, and the topics you introduce into the conversation. You can bet she's already been asked a million times about where she's from, what she does for a living, what she likes to do on the weekends, etc. Asking these questions make you seem like just another ordinary guy who isn't at ease talking to women.
Instead of asking these generic questions, try turning them into "educated guesses." For example, instead of asking her were she works, you could say: "I get the sense that you've got a pretty demanding job, which you're very good at...but on the weekends, you like to cut loose and blow off steam. So what are some of your favorite hangout spots?"
As far as conversational topics, two topics I like to use when talking to girls are fashion, and "relationship drama." These are subjects that women naturally find interesting. Here are some examples of how I might introduce these topics into the conversation. Notice how I "frame" them in the context of a story about a friend of mine:
Talking To Girls About Fashion
"So let me ask you a quick question. My friend Eric just broke up with his girlfriend and he's back on the singles scene. The problem is that his dating skills are a bit rusty and he's not feeling very confident. Personally, I think one way for a guy to boost his confidence is for him to buy some new clothes and try a new style. So, I told Eric I would take him to the mall this weekend and help him pick out some cool clothes. I can tell you've got great style...is there a store you would recommend?"
Talking To Girls About Relationship Drama
Women enjoy talking about relationships, and if there's an element of "drama" they really get intrigued and want to share their opinions. So you could tell a story like this:
"My friend Jennifer started dating this guy recently, and she saw on his Facebook page that he's still chatting almost every day with his ex-girlfriend. He told Jennifer that they're just friends and there's no longer anything romantic going on between them, but Jennifer isn't comfortable with it...she'd really prefer that he stop talking to his ex completely. How would you feel in that situation? Is it OK for a guy you're dating to still carry on a close friendship with his ex?"
