If you want to pick up beautiful women so that you can find a great girlfriend, likes and dislikes are important. I know that your tastes are really on the surface of your personality, but it's still something you should think about. Know what's important for you before you start meeting women.
For example, does she like the same types of food as you? Does she like the same movies or music? Does she enjoy the same social activities? Or, does she like things that you absolutely can't stand?
I'm not saying that you should base your relationship on the music or movies you like. But if she's into things that you completely can't stand, you might want to rethink it because you're going to be around that stuff a lot. You're going to have to really like a girl to put up with that stuff.
Something that's a little less superficial is sense of humor. This one is really underrated. If you guys find the same things funny, you probably have a similar perspective on life. Your perspective on life is really what determines your sense of humor.
Do you have similar hobbies? If you do, you've got something to do together already. If you're totally uninterested in each other's hobbies, it's not too likely that you'll be doing them together.
Do you like going to the same places? This will make dating a whole lot easier. If you're not, this could make it more exciting. Both of you get to experience something new.
Are your social lives similar? This will be important as well. If you're too different it can cause problems. This is especially true if one of you is a homebody and the other likes to go out and party all the time.
For some guys, likes and dislikes are going to be more important than others. The whole point isn't to go out and find a girl that has the exact same tastes as you. Just like checking out her physical health, job and career, emotional health and way of socializing, you're just deciding what you like and what's alright with you. You've got to figure this out before you can start looking for a girlfriend because you're going to want to evaluate the girls you meet.
